He also serves as a mentor to first-generation college students through the Association of Latino Professionals for America, providing  professional and academic guidance necessary in their journey to success.

F.A.M.E. (Financially Advancing Millennials Everywhere) is a cutting edge, financial literacy course for first generation undergraduates in boston and non-profit organization that serves to empower underrepresented, urban millennials by equipping them with the necessary skills and tools to navigate the financial decisions of the real world. We believe it is emminent more than ever that individuals help train the next generation of citizens who will foster change in urban communities and push for the eradication of the U.S.'s existing wealth gap.

Founded in 2017 by Giancarlo Sanchez, an individual who was born and raised in the urban environments of New York City, F.A.M.E. aims to attract the millennials of today to help foster a movement to uplift low-income municipal communities. In addition, F.A.M.E.'s unique curriculum develops and engages students by embedding financial literacy lessons within the context of today's pop culture. Upon completion, graduates of the program will go on to lead financially advisable lives and inspire change in their respective neighborhoods.

"Full social and political engagement is impossible without economic empowerment, a point that is as true for young individuals in low-income areas of either gender. This is why the notion of ‘economic citizenship’ being promoted by organizations such as F.A.M.E. is so powerful." Luis Torres
